Great food, wine tasting and the locations were amazing.
This tour was the highlight of our trip. Eric and Leilani treated us like royalty. The places we visited were awesome. Great food, wine tasting and the locations were amazing. Eric is a former geologist so we learned a lot of new things. I totally recommend that you book an adventure with them.

We enjoyed our lunch at The Rim restaurant at the Volcano House Hotel in Volcanoes National Park (overlooking the Kīlauea crater).
My wife and I took the tour and had a great time! The tour van—which was in excellent condition and had big windows—arrived on time. The tour was well-organized and had a great set of stops. David gave great explanations of everything we were seeing. We had plenty of time at each stop and never felt rushed. We enjoyed our lunch at The Rim restaurant at the Volcano House Hotel in Volcanoes National Park (overlooking the Kīlauea crater). David had earlier given us a number of choices off the menu which he called into the restaurant so our food was ready shortly after we sat down. The cost of the lunch is included in the tour fee. We were lucky that there was visible activity at Kīlauea while we were there. Even during the current period of activity (since 12/2024), not nearly every day has flowing lava like we saw today. The view would still have been pretty great even without that though.

One of the best tours ever
What an excellent way to get to know the Big Island and learn about its unique place on Earth. Our tour guide Eric picked us up on time at our rented villa along with a number of other visitors and we proceeded to spend one of the better days on a tour of the island. Eric is one of the proprietors of the tour, is a degreed geologist and is truly an engaging and friendly person. The tour was excellent which combined both interesting sights and a tremendous amount of local knowledge about lava flows and local history. To say that this was worth the day spent would be to put it mildly. Even at twice the price, I would happily do this again and recommend the tour to anyone.

My boyfriend and I have been in Hawaii for over two weeks and done many tours here, but this by far was our favorite one.
DEAR READER- STOP RIGHT NOW! IF YOU ARE ON THE BIG ISLAND- YOU NEED TO TAKE THIS TOUR!!!!! BOOK IT. David was an INCREDIBLE tour guide. My boyfriend and I have been in Hawaii for over two weeks and done many tours here, but this by far was our favorite one. We learned so much. David was so incredibly kind and informative. You could tell he genuinely cares about the volcanos, the island, the people and animals who live here, and the guests on the tour. He took the time to get to know everybody and he was SO GOOD with names and remembering people. He knew amazing details and stories about the island and the volcano and the coffee farm. My boyfriend is absolutely fascinated with volcanos and said it was his “once in a lifetime tour.” It was the perfect amount of guests too. Not too crowded. Amazing stops, each one was worthwhile. And- a very comfortable and clean van. DID YOU BOOK??? DO IT!

Felt like we saw the best of the island by the time we were finished.
This tour was awesome and the highlight of visit on the Island of Hawaii. Erik gave insights to the island’s geology as we went along the tour, which was very interesting. He also took us to some hidden gems off the typical tour route to see some really beautiful parts of the park. We started the day at a coffee plantation, then a black sand beach, volcano National park, lava tube and the finished the day rainbow falls. Felt like we saw the best of the island by the time we were finished. The hot lunch, snacks, and multiple drink options were a nice touch. Definitely recommend Hawaii Geo Tours.

Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and his passion for Hawaii and its history was evident throughout the tour.
We enjoyed the tour with Hawai’i GEO tours. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and his passion for Hawaii and its history was evident throughout the tour. He provided a wealth of insightful information while keeping the experience engaging and enjoyable. Although the excursion lasted approximately 11 hours from pickup to drop-off, the itinerary was seamless, well-coordinated, and thoughtfully organized from start to finish.
